Stainless Outdoor is a Melbourne based business making outdoor products that genuinely last — because we got tired of ones that didn't.

Our Story

It started the way most good ideas do — standing around a fire, watching food cook.

We're a Melbourne based business that loves cooking outdoors. Not just throwing snags on a gas grill, but real cooking — low and slow, wood-fired, flame-kissed meals that taste the way food is supposed to taste.

If you watch any serious cooking show, you'll notice something: the best results always come back to two methods. Natural wood or charcoal fire, and oven-style cooking where heat wraps around the food evenly. We looked at the market and couldn't find one product that did both well and was built to handle Australian conditions year after year.

So we built one ourselves.

The Stainless Steel Barrel Oven was our first product — a BBQ that combines the flavour of real wood-fire cooking with the consistent, even heat of an oven. The results speak for themselves. Effortless, perfectly cooked food every time, whether you're in the backyard or out camping.

From there we grew naturally. We saw the same problem everywhere outdoors: products made cheaply, rusting and falling apart after a season or two. Our stainless steel outdoor cabinets were the next answer — heavy-duty, pre-assembled (no flat-pack frustration), rust-proof, and tough enough to live outside permanently, even through an Australian winter or a coastal summer.

Everything we make follows the same principle: build it right, build it to last, and make it practical for real people in real homes.

Why Stainless?

Australia is tough on outdoor products. UV, heat, humidity, coastal salt air — most materials don't cope. Stainless steel does. It handles extreme heat, resists rust and corrosion, is safe for food contact, and looks great year after year with minimal maintenance.
